Overview Fuel Recruitment is supporting a leading scientific services organisation seeking an experienced Bid Manager to join their growing commercial function. This role sits across a specialist group of analytical and forensic laboratories operating within a highly regulated, fast‑paced environment. You’ll be responsible for managing complex bids end‑to‑end, developing winning strategies, and ensuring proposals are accurate, compliant and compelling. Key Responsibilities * Lead and manage the full bid lifecycle, ensuring all deadlines are met and proposals are produced to a high standard. * Coordinate input from commercial, technical, finance and delivery teams to produce accurate, well‑written submissions. * Track and manage risks throughout the bid process, ensuring compliance and governance. * Conduct market, competitor and client research to help shape bid strategy. * Coordinate client presentations and visits required during the bid process. * Drive continuous improvement through post‑bid reviews, both internally and with customers. * Prepare, manage and deliver Management Information for clients and contracts. * Create reports and dashboards that translate data insights for senior stakeholders. * Maintain accurate data across internal systems and conduct regular data audits. Key Skills / Experience * Proven experience managing bids for complex products or services. * Strong background in solution selling and end‑to‑end bid management. * Skilled in interpreting and presenting data, with confidence using a range of IT systems and portals. * Excellent communication skills and comfortable engaging at senior level internally and externally. * Strong commercial understanding, including P&L and risk management. * Experience managing multi‑workstream opportunities. * Sound understanding of internal governance processes. * Knowledge of the competitive marketplace within relevant sectors. Security Clearance Requirements * Due to the sensitive nature of work, Security Clearance is required. * Applicants must have five years of continuous UK residency. * Criminal convictions may impact the ability to obtain clearance.
