Shift Maintenance Engineer 📍 Poole, Dorset 🕒 Shift-Based Role A well-established manufacturing business in Poole is seeking a Shift Maintenance Engineer to support production reliability and ensure the smooth operation of manufacturing equipment and site services. This role is ideal for a proactive engineer with strong fault-finding ability who enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment. You will play a key role in reactive and planned maintenance, ensuring equipment downtime is minimised and production targets are met. Key Responsibilities Maintenance & Engineering * Carry out reactive and planned maintenance across production machinery and site services * Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults on manufacturing equipment * Support continuous improvement of equipment reliability and performance Maintenance Systems (CMMS) * Operate and maintain the company Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) * Support preventative, predictive, and condition-based maintenance activities * Assist with the creation and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Production Support * Provide engineering support to production teams to minimise downtime * Apply knowledge of production processes, equipment operation, and manufacturing techniques * Support quality control processes and continuous improvement initiatives Requirements * Experience working as a Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing or production environment * Strong fault-finding skills across production equipment The Opportunity This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable and growing manufacturer where you will play a key role in maintaining production reliability and supporting continuous improvement across the site.
