SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary School Location: Chesterfield Start Date: ASAP Contract: Full-time / Temporary (with potential to extend) Salary: Competitive daily rate (dependent on experience) PK Education are currently recruiting for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a friendly and supportive primary school in Chesterfield. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils with additional needs and help them access learning in a positive and inclusive environment. The school is looking for a patient, caring and proactive individual who is passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and helping them reach their full potential. The Role: Supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) on a 1:1 basis and in small groups Assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons Supporting pupils with their social, emotional and academic development Implementing strategies and support plans tailored to individual pupils Helping to create a safe, supportive and structured learning environment The Ideal Candidate Will: Have previous experience working with children with SEN (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH or speech and language needs) Be patient, nurturing and adaptable Have strong communication and teamwork skills Be committed to supporting pupils both academically and emotionally Hold a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential) What PK Education Offer: Competitive rates of pay Ongoing support from the experienced PK Education Sheffield team Opportunities to work in a variety of local schools Long-term and permanent opportunities available This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to make a real difference in a child’s education and development within a supportive primary school setting.
