We are looking for an EHCP Support Worker to join our secondary school team in Blackpool. This is a specialised role focused on the 1:1 delivery of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP). You will be the primary support for a student with complex SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs, ensuring they have the stability and guidance required to succeed in a mainstream setting. Key Responsibilities Individualised Support: Deliver 1:1 interventions as prescribed by the student's EHCP targets. Pastoral Care: Act as a key mentor, helping the student navigate social transitions and manage emotional triggers. Classroom Integration: Support the student within the classroom, adapting learning materials to make the curriculum accessible. Reporting & Collaboration: Work closely with the SENCO, parents, and external agencies to monitor progress and provide feedback for annual EHCP reviews. De-escalation: Use trauma-informed strategies to manage challenging moments with a calm, professional approach. What We Are Looking For Experience: Previous experience working with EHCPs in a secondary school, PRU, or residential care setting. Expertise: A strong understanding of SEMH, Autism (ASD), or ADHD. Resilience: The "Blackpool Grit"-the ability to stay positive and committed even on challenging days.
