Diagnostic Technician Salary - £37k - £40k DOE Plus OTE & Overtime We are currently seeking an experienced Diagnostic / Master Technician to join a busy and professional automotive workshop based in the Poole area. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled technician who enjoys fault-finding, complex diagnostics, and working with modern vehicle technology. You will play a key role within the workshop, supporting the team with advanced diagnostics, complex repairs, and ensuring the highest standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities * Carry out advanced vehicle diagnostics using manufacturer and aftermarket diagnostic equipment * Identify and resolve complex mechanical and electrical faults * Perform servicing, maintenance, and repairs to a high standard * Support and mentor junior technicians within the workshop * Ensure all work is completed efficiently and in line with manufacturer guidelines * Complete accurate job cards and diagnostic reports * Maintain a safe, clean, and organised working environment Requirements * Proven experience as a Diagnostic Technician / Master Technician * Strong electrical and diagnostic fault-finding ability * Relevant automotive qualifications (NVQ Level 3, IMI, or equivalent) * Experience using modern diagnostic tools and software * MOT Tester licence (desirable but not essential) * Full UK Driving Licence What’s on Offer * £30,000 – £40,000 OTE * Competitive basic salary depending on experience * Performance-related bonus structure * Ongoing training and development * Modern workshop with up-to-date diagnostic equipment * Supportive and professional team environment
