Part‑Time SENCO – Secondary School Location: Wellingborough Start Date: After Easter Contract: Long‑term supply Working Pattern: 3 days per week We are working with a welcoming and supportive secondary school in Wellingborough who are seeking an experienced SENCO to join their team on a part‑time, long‑term supply basis, starting after Easter. This is an excellent opportunity for a committed SEN professional looking to make a positive impact while maintaining a healthy work‑life balance. The Role The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and leading SEND provision across the school, ensuring students receive high‑quality, inclusive support. Key duties will include: Leading and managing the school’s SEND provision in line with the SEND Code of Practice Identifying, assessing, and reviewing students with SEND Developing and maintaining EHCPs, support plans, and provision maps Liaising with parents, carers, external agencies, and professionals Supporting and advising teaching staff on effective SEND strategies Monitoring progress and outcomes for students with additional needs Ensuring statutory requirements and compliance are met Requirements To be considered for this role, candidates must have: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO) or be working towards it Proven experience working as a SENCO, ideally within a secondary setting Strong knowledge of SEND legislation and best practice Excellent communication, organisation, and leadership skills A collaborative and proactive approach to supporting staff and students Why Apply?
