Senior Site Manager – Residential

Job Title: Freelance Senior Site Manager – Residential Job Type: Freelance / Contract Rate: Competitive Day Rate (DOE) Role Overview An experienced Freelance Senior Site Manager is required to oversee high-quality residential construction projects. Projects include bespoke new builds, multi-unit residential developments, apartment schemes, and listed building renovations. This role is suited to a hands-on Senior Site Manager capable of taking full ownership of a site and delivering projects through to successful completion while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. Key Responsibilities * Manage residential construction projects from pre-construction through to handover. * Oversee daily site operations and coordinate subcontractors. * Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget. * Maintain high standards of workmanship and quality control. * Ensure compliance with Building Regulations and Health & Safety legislation. * Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and maintain Health & Safety documentation. * Manage Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS). * Liaise regularly with senior management and project stakeholders. * Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and stakeholders. Requirements * Proven experience in residential construction. * Minimum 4 years’ experience managing building projects. * Strong leadership and team management experience. * Experience delivering new build housing or residential refurbishment projects. * Commercial awareness and strong organisational skills. * Excellent communication and coordination abilities. * SMSTS (essential). * First Aid at Work (essential).
