Cover Supervisor

Position: Cover Supervisor Location: Peacehaven, East Sussex Pay: £100 – £130 per day (depending on experience and qualifications) Hours: 08:30am – 3:30pm Contract: Flexible – Full-Time & Part-Time Opportunities Available Supply Desk is a well-established education recruitment agency specialising in Primary, SEND, and Secondary education. We are recruiting proactive and reliable Cover Supervisors to work in secondary schools in Peacehaven. In this role, you will supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff, ensuring students remain focused and engaged with the work provided. This role is ideal for aspiring teachers, graduates, experienced cover supervisors, or subject specialists who are confident leading lessons and managing a classroom environment. Key Responsibilities Supervise whole classes across a variety of subjects using pre-prepared lesson materials Deliver cover lessons within your subject specialism where possible Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies Ensure pupils remain engaged and complete the work set Provide feedback to teaching staff on lesson progress and student behaviour Maintain safeguarding standards and promote pupil wellbeing Previous experience working with young people (school experience desirable) Strong classroom and behaviour management skills Confidence leading a class independently Subject specialism (desirable but not essential) An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one Professional, flexible, and reliable approach to work Competitive daily rates of £100–£130, depending on experience and qualifications Opportunities to work in secondary schools in Peacehaven and nearby areas Flexible working to suit your schedule Ongoing support from dedicated education consultants Refer a Friend scheme – earn up to £150 collectively Requirements What We Offer If you are interested in Cover Supervisor opportunities in Peacehaven, we would love to hear from you.
