CNC Programmer Poole, Dorset £35,000 to £45,000   We are recruiting for an experienced CNC Programmer to join a well-established engineering business based in Poole, Dorset. This is a permanent opportunity for a CNC Programmer who wants their programming work to directly influence quality, efficiency, and finished components across complex projects.   As the CNC Programmer, you will support projects from initial programming through to final manufacture. The CNC Programmer will work in a modern, well-equipped environment, collaborating closely with operators, engineers, and customers. This role suits a CNC Programmer who enjoys technical challenge, problem-solving, and varied work rather than repetitive programming.   Key Responsibilities Write and edit CNC programs using CAD/CAM software such as Alphacam Produce work instructions, drawings, and cut or pack guides Design jigs, fixtures, tooling, and shop-floor aids Work alongside CNC operators to prove out and refine programs Support estimating and costing for new and existing projects Liaise with customers and suppliers, including occasional site visits Identify machining, programming, and workflow improvements Maintain health & safety, quality, and environmental standardsEssential Skills and Experience Minimum 2 years’ experience as a CNC Programmer on 3-axis CNC machines Experience using Alphacam, Hexagon, or similar CAM software Confident working with 2D and 3D CAD Understanding of machining foam, wood, and textile-based materials Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach Clear communicator who works well within a team environmentBenefits Salary £35,000 to £45,000, depending on experience Permanent, long-term role Modern CNC machinery and advanced materials Ongoing development within a stable and growing business Supportive team environment that values initiative  If you’re an experienced CNC Programmer who wants to be part of a business that values precision, people, and progress, get in touch.
