Vehicle Technician

Job Title: Vehicle Technician Location: Edinburgh Hours: 40 per week - 6am-2.30pm and 8am-4.30pm Rate: £20.19-£20.67 per hour  About your new company: My client, a market leading company who have been in business for over 35 years, are looking for a Vehicle Technician to join their team in Edinburgh. The ideal candidate must have a Level 3 Qualification in either HGV, LCV or PSV and have experience of repairing and maintaining large vehicles. Key Responsibilities for this Vehicle Technician role: • Repair and maintain vehicles and plant as directed by the Workshop Supervisor • Carry out inspections, diagnostics, brake and smoke tests • Accurately complete job cards and inspection reports using the tablet system • Identify and report required work, parts, defects and vehicle off-road (VOR) issues • Ensure correct handling, labelling and storage of parts and tooling • Comply with all Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental procedures Skills and Knowledge required for the Vehicle Technician • Strong mechanical or motor vehicle knowledge • Good communication, numeracy and diagnostic skills • Customer-focused and quality-driven • Understanding of health and safety regulations Qualifications required for the Vehicle Technician • Level 3 Diploma in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Competence (essential) • Level 3 Diploma in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Competence (desirable, not essential) What’s on offer for the successful Vehicle Technician • 6% employer pension contribution • 3x salary Life Assurance • Private Medical coverage • Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) How to Apply Interested?
