A Legal 500 recognised law firm based in Manchester is expanding its Personal Injury department and is seeking experienced OL/PL or EL/PL Fee Earners to join its growing litigation team. The Role The successful candidate will manage their own caseload of Employers’ Liability/Public Liability (EL/PL) or Occupiers’ Liability/Public Liability (OL/PL) claims from cradle to grave. Key responsibilities include: * Managing a caseload of EL/PL or OL/PL claims from inception to conclusion * Conducting thorough legal research and providing clear, practical advice to clients * Drafting legal documentation including pleadings, witness statements, and court documents * Negotiating settlements and representing clients in court where required * Progressing claims efficiently in a target-driven, fast-paced environment * Advancing cases through litigation to achieve the best possible outcome for clients Person Specification The firm is keen to speak with candidates who can demonstrate: * Proven fee earning experience managing a EL/PL or OL/PL caseload * Experience handling fast-track personal injury claims * Experience dealing with both portal and predominantly non-portal claims * A proactive, driven and tenacious approach to progressing cases * Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a busy caseload effectively * Previous experience using the Proclaim Case Management System would be advantageous Salary & Benefits * Basic salary up to £55,000, depending on experience * Very generous commission structure, paid monthly in arrears * No hurdles and no caps, with lawyers earning a percentage of every successful case Working Hours * Monday – Thursday: 8:30am – 5:30pm * Friday: 8:30am – 5:00pm * hybrid working Please get in touch with Grace Bolton at Miller Grace Recruitment or apply to be immediately considered
