Technical Manager

Technical Manager | Residential Development | South West London | Feb 2026   An opportunity for a Technical Manager to join a well-established residential developer delivering a major housing scheme in South West London.   Based on a live project, you’ll take full ownership of technical design coordination across a large-scale residential development, overseeing consultants, managing design risk, and ensuring technical delivery from pre-construction through to site delivery and handover.   This role would suit an experienced Technical Manager or Senior Technical Manager with a strong residential background, confident running design teams and navigating complex planning, architectural, and engineering challenges.   The Role Lead and manage the technical delivery of a large residential scheme from pre-construction through construction Coordinate architects, structural and MEP engineers, and specialist consultants Manage planning conditions, building regulations compliance, and technical approvals Oversee design development, technical queries, and design risk management Review and manage consultant information to ensure buildability and cost certainty Support construction teams with technical input during delivery Maintain design programmes, technical documentation, and approvals schedules Ensure quality, compliance, and design intent are maintained throughout the project lifecycle  What they’re looking for 7+ years’ experience in a Technical Manager / Senior Technical Manager role Strong background in residential-led developments (mixed-use exposure beneficial) Proven experience managing consultant teams on medium to large-scale housing schemes Solid understanding of UK Building Regulations, NHBC, and planning processes Confident dealing with internal stakeholders, consultants, and site teams Organised, proactive, and commercially aware with a hands-on approach to problem solving  The Company They are a well-capitalised residential developer with a strong pipeline of projects across London and the South East.   Their work spans high-quality, multi-unit residential schemes typically ranging from £20m to £100m+, with a strong emphasis on build quality, design integrity, and long-term placemaking.   The business offers a stable, professional environment with clear project ownership and long-term career progression.   Also known as: Senior Technical Manager, Design & Technical Manager, Project Technical Manager   Interested?
