Sen Teaching Assistant

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a supportive school within the B8 area of Birmingham. This role will involve supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs on a 1:1 and small group basis, helping them to access learning and develop both socially and academically. The role will also include support with personal care, so previous experience in this area is essential. Key Responsibilities * Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN. * Assist pupils with personal care where required. * Support the class teacher in delivering engaging learning activities. * Help implement individual education and behaviour plans. * Encourage pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development. * Promote a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment. The Ideal Candidate Will Have * Previous experience working with children with SEN. * Experience providing personal care support. * Strong communication and behaviour management skills. * A patient, proactive, and supportive approach. * The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff. Qualifications * Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (required).
