EC&I Project Manager

EC&I Project Manager/Site Manager - Contract, possible temp-perm Are you an experienced EC&I Project Manager/Site Manager ready to lead complex, high-value projects in highly regulated environments? We are seeking a proven leader to deliver Electrical, Control & Instrumentation projects across high-hazard industries including Oil & Gas, Nuclear, Petrochemical, Utilities, Food & Beverage and COMAH-regulated sites. This role offers the opportunity to take full ownership of projects from concept through to commissioning and handover - ensuring safe, compliant, on-time and on-budget delivery. The Role As EC&I Project Manager, you will: * Lead full project lifecycle delivery (Concept, FEED, Detailed Design, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning) * Manage brownfield & live plant environments with minimal disruption * Develop and manage Project Execution Plans (PEP) * Oversee budgets ranging from £500k to £50m+ * Drive safety excellence aligned with COMAH & CDM regulations * Manage NEC/FIDIC contracts, change control & commercial risk * Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across Electrical, ICA, Process & Mechanical Technical Scope Electrical Systems HV/LV distribution, switchgear & MCC upgrades, UPS systems, power studies Control Systems DCS, PLC & SCADA platforms, IEC 62443 cybersecurity compliance, legacy integrations Instrumentation & Functional Safety SIS lifecycle management, IEC 61508 / 61511 compliance, ATEX/DSEAR environments Regulatory Environment Projects may fall under: * HSE / COMAH * ONR (Nuclear) * ATEX / DSEAR * IEC & BS standards * Functional Safety (SIL, LOPA, HAZOP, HAZID) What We’re Looking For * Degree in Electrical / Control / Instrumentation Engineering * 8–15+ years’ experience in EC&I project delivery * Strong background in COMAH & high-hazard industries * Proven delivery of multi-million-pound CAPEX projects * CEng (or working toward) * PRINCE2 / PMP / APM desirable * Functional Safety certification (TÜV preferred) * SMSTS / NEBOSH / IOSH Success Looks Like * On-time, on-budget delivery * Zero LTI * Strong client satisfaction * Full regulatory compliance * High-quality audit outcomes If you’re a commercially astute, safety-driven EC&I professional looking to lead complex engineering programmes in regulated environments, we want to hear from you.
