Transport Planner

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Transport Planner to join our client’s operation based in Immingham, Humber Estuary. This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-paced logistics environment with a strong focus on container movements and port operations. The Role As a Transport Planner, you will be responsible for the effective planning and coordination of container transport operations, ensuring cost efficiency, service excellence, and full compliance with industry regulations. Key responsibilities will include: Planning and routing container deliveries and collections Coordinating with drivers, customers, and port authorities Managing daily transport schedules and resolving operational issues Ensuring compliance with transport legislation and company procedures Monitoring KPIs and optimising vehicle utilisation Liaising closely with internal departments to maintain service levels The Ideal Candidate Proven experience in a transport planning role Essential: Container transport experience Strong knowledge of port operations and container logistics Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills Confident communicator with the ability to work under pressure Proficient in transport planning systems and Microsoft Office What’s On Offer Competitive salary of £35,000 – £40,000 Opportunity to work within a well-established logistics operation Supportive team environment Career development opportunities If you are an experienced Transport Planner with container knowledge and are looking for your next challenge in the Humber region, we would love to hear from you.
