Delivery Driver

Our client, a long-established family firm with a network of branches in the South and East of England, that supply machinery and services to the agricultural, construction and professional ground care machinery markets, are looking for a Delivery Driver to join their team at their Head Office local to Maldon, Essex. On offer: * Full-time permanent role * Working Hours: 39 hours per week – 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday to Thursday, 8am to 4pm Friday (with a 1-hour unpaid lunch break) Overtime paid at time and a half on completion of 39 hours Monday to Friday, Saturdays as and when required. * Overtime paid at time and a half on completion of 39 hours. * Immediate starts available * Competitive salary – dependent on skills and experience. * 32 days holiday (inc bank holidays) * Workplace pension, Life assurance (2 x salary), Country store staff discount, Company sick pay scheme and Flu jabs and employee referral scheme. Main Purpose of the Role: Reporting directly to the Groundcare Sales Office Manager, you will be responsible for the collection and delivery of machinery sold by the company as required by a range of customers. You will play a key role in ensuring our customers receive a consistently high level of service. Duties and Responsibilities: * Collect and deliver machinery as required to a range of customers * Promote the safe use of machinery and implements to the end users * Maintain a clean, tidy and safe vehicle * Dealing with customers on a day-to-day basis, both face to face and over the phone * Identify opportunities and build new relationships with customers * Positively promote the Company image and its products * Liaise with customers and suppliers as required * Attend training courses as required by the company to maintain satisfactory levels of compliance and understanding To be Considered: * Full UK driving licence * Clear delivery driving experience required. * Good, sound knowledge of ground care machinery and its equipment would be advantageous * A mechanical background would be advantageous * Experience with safe loading practices for heavy items or machinery * Excellent customer service skills as dealing with members of the public and visiting their homes * Be self-motivated and able to work under own initiative * A team player * Smart, clean and tidy appearance as is a customer facing role * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and under pressure * Good general level of health and fitness For more details, please contact Willis Global – Experts in Recruiting
