Industry: Oil & Gas / Petrochemical / Power Generation Travel: Up to 200+ days per year About the Role We are seeking a proactive and skilled Field Service Engineer to join a leading global provider of combustion and environmental solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for on-site commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and supporting legacy installed fired equipment. You will work closely with end-users, ensuring operational excellence and safety while contributing to cutting-edge engineering projects. This is a unique opportunity to work on a wide range of combustion technologies including flare systems, boiler and process burners, thermal oxidizers, vapor recovery systems, and advanced pollution control equipment. Key Responsibilities for Field Service Engineer * Conduct on-site commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, fault analysis, and installation supervision of fired equipment. * Prepare Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMS), site reports, and maintain accurate timesheets. * Start up and maintain combustion products and systems, ensuring operational efficiency and safety. * Identify opportunities for additional aftermarket spares and site service support. * Supervise on-site turnarounds/outage contracts and deliver both classroom and on-site training to end-user personnel. * Adhere to Health & Safety policies and promote a safe working environment at all times. Candidate Profile for Field Service Engineer * Technical Expertise: Multi-skilled technician/engineer with strong mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and PLC control knowledge. * PLC Experience: Hands-on experience with Siemens and Allen-Bradley systems. * Independent & Collaborative: Able to work autonomously or as part of a team with a proactive approach to problem-solving. * Travel Ready: Willing to travel extensively across Europe and the Middle East for 1–2 week periods. * Safety Focused: Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and offshore environments. * Technical Literacy: Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics, and mechanical drawings. * Communication: Strong verbal and written skills, with good computer proficiency. * Industry Experience: Previous experience in combustion within the oil, gas, or petrochemical industries is advantageous
