Are you ready to take on a senior technical leadership role with full responsibility for elevating standards, developing people, and strengthening site-wide food safety and quality performance? This position sits at the heart of a fast-moving manufacturing operation, offering the scope to influence major retail customers, drive continuous improvement, and shape the long-term technical strategy of a flagship site. You will be responsible for, but not limited to: • Leading all onsite food safety, quality and compliance activities, ensuring systems, procedures and standards consistently meet legal, customer and audit requirements. • Overseeing the full Quality Management System, ensuring documentation, internal audits, corrective actions and site controls are maintained and continuously improved. • Leading the HACCP agenda, including reviews, updates and verification of prerequisite programmes. • Managing site-based testing, verification and technical monitoring to ensure product integrity and compliance. • Providing senior oversight of hygiene, ensuring cleaning systems, validation procedures and team capability meet required standards. • Driving technical performance by developing, coaching and supporting the technical team, maintaining clear training plans and robust succession development. • Supporting audit readiness at all times and leading on customer, third-party and regulatory audits. • Maintaining strong internal communication across operations, engineering and commercial teams to ensure technical risk is understood, escalated and controlled. • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and influencing site-wide technical strategy. What’s required? • Extensive technical leadership experience within food manufacturing. • Strong working knowledge of HACCP, QMS, retailer standards and food safety legislation. • Proven experience of leading audits, managing compliance programmes and driving technical improvement. • Ability to influence at all levels, with strong communication and stakeholder management skills. • Experience developing and leading teams within a fast-paced, high-compliance environment. • Strong organisational, problem-solving and analytical capability.
