Teaching Assistant – Carlisle Humly is recruiting a Teaching Assistant to join a primary school on a temporary basis for the Summer Term. This is a part-time role starting 13/04/2026 and continuing until 17/07/2026. Working four days per week, this role would suit a flexible and proactive Teaching Assistant who is confident supporting across year groups and delivering small group interventions to help pupils make strong progress. What You’ll Be Doing * Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons * Providing targeted support to individuals and small groups within the classroom * Adapting learning activities to meet a range of pupil needs * Delivering small group interventions in areas such as reading, writing and mathematics * Promoting confidence, resilience and independence in pupils’ learning * Contributing to a positive, purposeful and nurturing learning environment What You’ll Bring * Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant within a primary setting * Confidence supporting pupils across different year groups * Experience delivering small group or targeted interventions * Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships * A flexible, proactive and caring approach * A genuine commitment to supporting pupils academically and personally Pay £13.70 per hour Additional Benefits * Weekly pay and access to roles via the Humly app * FREE Safeguarding, Prevent & Child Protection training * Ongoing support from our experienced North West team * The most downloaded supply app in the UK * £100 Refer-a-Friend bonus once your referral completes their first assignment Important Information Part-time – four days per week (Summer Term) Start date: 13/04/2026 Primary school-based position Enhanced DBS required (If required, Humly can support with an Enhanced DBS at a cost to the educator) Safeguarding & Rehabilitation of Offenders Act Humly is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
