Teaching Assistant Job Title: Teaching Assistant Area: Wythenshawe Start Date: March 2026 Contract Type: Full-time, Term-time only Salary: £103.95 - £110.00 per day Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm About the School Are you a caring, enthusiastic, and committed Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in a primary setting? We are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school in Wythenshawe that is seeking a dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team. Staff work collaboratively to ensure all pupils - including those with Special Educational Needs - receive the support they need to thrive both academically and personally. Primary Teaching Assistant - Key Responsibilities Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and creative lessons across the primary curriculum Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils, including those with SEN Adapt learning activities to meet the needs of children with additional needs such as Autism, ADHD, or speech and language difficulties Assist with literacy, numeracy, and wider curriculum activities Help to create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment Support the monitoring and recording of pupil progress Promote positive behaviour, confidence, and independence Primary Teaching Assistant - Person Specification Previous experience working in a primary school setting Experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs is desirable A patient, nurturing, and proactive approach Confidence in adapting support strategies for children with additional needs Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team A good understanding of safeguarding procedures A genuine passion for helping children grow in confidence and succeed Primary Teaching Assistant - To Be Eligible You Must: Hold the Right to Work in the UK * Have an enhanced child barred list DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply) * Be able to provide two professional references (child-related preferred)Please submit your up-to-date CV to be considered.
