Learning Support Assistant (LSA) - SEMH School 📍 Canterbury 💼 Full-time | Term Time Only 💰 Competitive daily rate Academics are currently recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist SEMH school in Canterbury. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. This role would suit individuals with experience in: Education (LSA, TA, Cover Supervisor etc.) Social care or youth work Residential or foster home settings Mental health support roles Behaviour support or alternative provision The Role: Supporting students with SEMH needs on a 1:1 and small group basis Building positive, consistent relationships with vulnerable young people Helping to regulate behaviour and promote emotional wellbeing Supporting students both inside and outside of the classroom Working closely with teachers and pastoral staff to implement support plans The Ideal Candidate: Resilient, calm and confident in challenging situations Able to build trust and rapport quickly Passionate about improving outcomes for vulnerable young people Previous experience supporting children or young adults with additional needs A strong team player with a proactive attitude ** £90 - £95 per day, Mon-Fri, 08:30 to 15:30, PAYE, Term time only ** You MUST have right to work in the UK in order to apply - no Visa sponsorship To be a Learning Support Assistant - Apply now or contact Ollie Mynard at Academics Ltd: Become a Learning Support Assistant today!
