Customs Brokerage Associate Solihull / Birmingham Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 + excellent benefits | Hybrid working An established international logistics organisation is seeking an experienced Customs Brokerage Associate to join a high-performing customs and freight team in Solihull. This is an excellent opportunity for a customs professional with strong CargoWise1 (CW1) experience who is looking to develop their career within a stable, forward-thinking environment. The Role As a Customs Brokerage Associate, you will play a key role in managing import and export customs processes, ensuring compliance with regulations while delivering outstanding service to clients and internal stakeholders. Key responsibilities include: Managing customs entries and clearance processes from start to finish Interpreting and applying import/export legislation and regulations Liaising with customers, freight teams and external authorities Identifying opportunities to support client growth and operational efficiency Delivering accurate, timely and compliant customs documentation About You You will be an experienced customs professional with a strong technical foundation and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Essential experience and skills: Minimum 3 years' experience in a customs clearance role Strong knowledge of UK import/export procedures and regulations CargoWise1 experience (Certified Operator/Specialist highly desirable) Excellent communication, problem-solving and organisational skills Ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy and quality Strong work ethic, attention to detail and team-focused approach Personal qualities: Analytical and technically minded Confident decision-maker within your area of expertise Comfortable working within established systems and processes Collaborative, adaptable and solutions-focused Working Arrangement Office-based for the initial 3-6 months during training and onboarding Hybrid working model thereafter (60/40 split) Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours per week (some flexibility required to meet operational needs) Salary & Benefits £30,000 - £35,000 per annum 24 days holiday + bank holidays (increasing with service) Generous employer pension contribution (7.5%) Death in service cover Wellbeing and employee assistance programme Online GP access Salary sacrifice benefits (pension, tech, cycle-to-work, childcare support) Eye care scheme Long service and performance awards Free on-site parking WR Logistics are the #1 recruitment partner for all vacancies in the logistics industry.
