Generator Testing Engneer

Generator Test Engineer - 12 Month Contract Sheffield 12 Months Work Rate Negotiable (DOE) CIS / LTD options available We're currently looking for an experienced Generator Test Engineer to support long-term works on a major project in Sheffield. This role is a mix of hands-on testing, commissioning support, and client interaction, working alongside a Tier 1 contractor to ensure generator systems are delivered, tested, and operating to spec. The Role: Carry out generator testing including load bank testing Support commissioning and handover of generator systems Fault finding and troubleshooting during testing phases Attend and contribute to client / Tier 1 meetings Review and discuss technical specifications and system performance Ensure all works are completed safely and in line with project requirements What We're Looking For: Proven experience working with generators (diesel / temporary power) Experience with load bank testing and commissioning Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills Ability to read and understand electrical drawings / schematics Confident communicating with clients and site teams Previous experience working alongside Tier 1 contractors (desirable) Ideal Background: Generator Engineer Commissioning Engineer (Power / Electrical) Electrical Engineer with testing experience Temporary power / events power experience Interested?
