Junior Project Manager

About the Role We are looking for an ambitious and motivated Junior Project Manager to support the delivery of electrical infrastructure projects (ICP / HV / LV) from initial concept through to completion and handover. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in engineering, construction, or utilities who is ready to step into a project management role and develop under experienced leadership. You will work closely with Senior Project Managers and cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities * Assist in developing project plans, including scope, timelines, and resource allocation * Support the management of project budgets and cost tracking alongside the operations team * Help maintain project schedules and ensure milestones are achieved * Coordinate engineers, designers, contractors, and stakeholders * Monitor project risks and escalate issues when required * Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards * Support quality assurance processes and documentation control * Act as a point of contact for customers, providing clear and professional updates * Maintain accurate project documentation (contracts, reports, change controls, correspondence) * Provide occasional onsite support when required * Contribute to post-project reviews and lessons learned What We’re Looking For Education * ONC/OND, HNC/HND or Degree in Project Management, Engineering, Construction, or related field * OR relevant industry experience within utilities / electrical infrastructure * Working towards or keen to achieve a Project Management qualification (Prince2, APM or similar) Experience * Experience within electrical infrastructure, utilities, construction, or engineering environments * Understanding of HV/LV networks or strong desire to learn * Exposure to DNO/ICP processes (desirable but not essential) * Experience supporting project delivery from planning through to completion * Comfortable working with budgets, schedules, and reporting Technical Skills * Knowledge of HV/LV infrastructure (desirable) * Understanding of NEC3 contracts (advantageous) * Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) * Familiar with project management software What We Offer * Structured development and mentoring from senior leadership * Clear progression path into Project Manager role * Exposure to high-value electrical infrastructure projects * Support with professional qualifications * A collaborative and forward-thinking working environment
