Production Operative

Hands-on production role—operate machinery, hit targets, keep quality high. Our client is looking to add a hands-on Production Operative to their team to support increasing demand and help deliver consistently high-quality output Redditch | Full-time | 40 hours per week | Temp to Perm | £12.50-£13.50 per hour This is a temp to perm role, a permanent opportunity is there for the right person. The Role You’ll be working in a busy production environment, operating machinery and supporting the full manufacturing process—keeping quality high, output on target, and standards tight. Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:00 – 16:00 Breaks: Two 30-minute unpaid breaks per day Location: Redditch Why would I be interested? * Temp to perm opportunity * 40 hours per week * Weekly pay for the first 12 weeks Permanent Benefits * 30 days annual leave (including bank holidays), increasing with service * NEST pension contribution at 5% * Death in Service x4 salary * Long-term sickness cover (50% salary up to 2 years) * Smart Health Support: 24/7 virtual GP, 365 days a year * “Be World Class” training and development programme * “Be Generous Day” volunteering day * Company-sponsored activities with “Be Fun” initiatives * Month of Gusto food subscription after successful probation Key responsibilities * Operating machinery across a range of products * Setting up machines, feeding materials, and adjusting settings to maintain smooth production * Troubleshooting basic issues and escalating faults/breakdowns to the Operations Manager * Carrying out basic TPM activities * Meeting daily output and productivity targets * Completing regular quality checks to ensure products meet customer specifications * Maintaining records and preparing basic documentation where required * Keeping machinery and work areas clean, tidy, and organised * Working safely in line with Health & Safety procedures * Communicating with other departments when needed * Supporting other tasks to keep operations running efficiently What our client is looking for * Experience operating machinery and understanding production is beneficial. * Great attention to detail and high accuracy * Ability to set and operate machinery * Organised, able to prioritise, and comfortable working to deadlines and targets * Flexible, proactive and genuinely positive with a “can-do” attitude * Interested in continuous improvement and doing things better tomorrow than today &#(phone number removed); Ready to Apply?
