PLEASE NOTE TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE CANDIDATES MUST HOLD A VALID CTC CLEARANCE LEVEL 2 DATED WITHIN THE LAST 5 YEARS We are recruiting a Recovery Practitioner to work within a prison based Drug and Alcohol Service, supporting individuals with substance misuse, mental health and complex psychosocial needs. This is a frontline, recovery focused role within a secure environment, working with individuals at different stages of change and preparing them for successful reintegration into the community. The Role You will manage a caseload and deliver structured, evidence based interventions in line with recovery and throughcare pathways. Key responsibilities include • Managing a caseload of individuals with substance misuse and related needs • Completing comprehensive assessments, risk assessments and recovery plans • Delivering psychosocial interventions on a one to one basis • Facilitating group sessions including harm reduction and relapse prevention • Providing advice on substance misuse, alcohol, blood borne viruses and health risks • Supporting release planning, transfer and throughcare arrangements • Working collaboratively with prison staff, healthcare and external agencies • Maintaining accurate, timely case notes and reports • Working within safeguarding, information governance and prison security procedures • Delivering trauma informed and recovery oriented support Requirements To be considered, you must have • Previous experience as a Recovery Practitioner • Experience working with complex needs including substance misuse and mental health • Ability to manage a busy caseload within a structured environment • Strong assessment, engagement and intervention skills • A strengths based, trauma informed approach • Strong IT skills for case management and reporting • Eligibility to pass Counter Terrorism Check vetting • Proof of UK residency for the last 3 years due to CTC requirements
