Electrician – EV Charging Role Overview Volantes Technical Recruitment are looking for a qualified Electrician to install, test, and commission EV charge points. This is a field-based role with no fixed location, and you may be required to support projects across the UK. You should have strong electrical knowledge, good problem-solving skills, and be comfortable working independently and as part of a team. A structured Electrician Level System is in place to support career progression. As you gain experience, qualifications, and skills, you will move through levels with corresponding salary increases. Requirements Essential: * NVQ Level 3 in Electrotechnical Installation or completed apprenticeship * 1–3 years’ commercial or industrial experience * C&G BS7671: 18th Edition * Full UK driving licence * JIB/CSCS Gold Card * Strong communication skills Desirable: * Experience installing DC chargers (50kW–400kW+) * C&G 2391 (Inspection & Testing) * SSSTS * C&G 2919 (EV Charging qualification) Key Responsibilities * Install EV charge points in domestic, commercial, and industrial settings * Follow electrical designs, cable calculations, and manufacturer guidelines * Work closely with the Qualified Supervisor and provide project updates * Follow all health and safety procedures * Complete NICEIC Electrical Installation Certificates online * Keep accurate records of installations and any remedial work * Submit reports on completed work and any issues encountered * Work with project managers and other electricians to ensure smooth delivery * Attend training and team meetings to maintain industry standards Benefits * Clear career progression structure * Company van and fuel card * Overtime available * 30 days annual leave (including shutdown days) * and more
