Quality, Operations & Accounts Administrator


A growing UK steel stockholding business are seeking an experienced Quality, Operations & Accounts Administrator to join its core team. This is a varied, hands-on role within a fast-paced B2B environment where accuracy, traceability and customer service are critical. Key Responsibilities * Managing the main phone line and customer enquiries * Handling EN (phone number removed).1 certification and maintaining heat number traceability * Supporting stock control, goods-in/goods-out documentation and discrepancy investigation * Booking and tracking pallet networks/carriers and managing transport claims * Bank reconciliations, purchase and sales ledger processing * Credit control and supporting month-end processes * Processing new trade accounts and basic credit checks * Managing returns and damaged goods claims Requirements * Quality and operations experience required * Minimum 2+ years’ bookkeeping experience * Bank reconciliation and credit control experience * Strong Excel skills * Experience with ERP/accounting systems (Sage, Xero, Odoo or similar) * High attention to detail and ability to prioritise * Industrial/steel sector experience advantageous This role offers genuine scope to grow with the business, with potential progression into broader operational and systems responsibilities. Working hours 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday
