Estimator – Pipework & Fabrication Location: Southampton | Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 + benefits We are seeking a pipe fabrication estimator for a growing pipe systems engineering company delivering projects in petrochemical, oil and gas, and utilities. This role offers direct influence over bid success and project profitability. Key Responsibilities: Prepare multidiscipline fabrication estimates for pipe systems, structural steelwork, and modular assemblies Review ITT/RFQ documents, raise TQs, and clarify missing information Interpret drawings and specifications to produce accurate material take-offs and labour calculations Obtain competitive quotations from suppliers and subcontractors Support the tendering process from enquiry to submission Assist in risk reviews and tender analysis with the sales and estimating manager and operations director Essential Skills and Experience: Estimating experience in pipework and fabrication projects Strong technical drawing and specification interpretation Confident with material take-offs and labour calculations Excellent communication with clients, suppliers, and internal teams Highly organised, numerate, and detail-oriented Desirable: Knowledge of BS EN 1090 Experience in structural, welded, or modular fabrications Understanding of standard engineering practices Benefits: Salary £45,000–£55,000 depending on experience 25 days holiday plus bank holidays Company pension and sick pay Career progression in a growing SME A role where your expertise is valued
