General Maintenance Assistant (Part-Time) School Environment 22 Hours per Week PVG Essential We are currently recruiting for a reliable and proactive General Maintenance Assistant to support a busy school environment on a part-time basis (22 hours per week). This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with previous facilities or maintenance experience who takes pride in keeping buildings safe, functional, and well-presented. The Role You will be responsible for carrying out a range of general maintenance tasks, including: * Basic building fabric repairs * Minor plumbing repairs (e.g., taps, toilets) * Basic joinery and patch repairs * Changing lamps and minor electrical tasks (where qualified) * General upkeep of internal and external areas * Assisting with compliance checks and safety inspections * Supporting the wider facilities team as required The role is based within a school, so professionalism, reliability, and a proactive attitude are essential.
