Mechanical Design Engineer

Due to continued investment and sustained growth, a global engineering organisation is looking to appoint a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a highly complex, innovative engineering environment, taking ownership of the full product life cycle for a range of cutting-edge mechanical products in the energy sector. As part of a global R&D team you will be involved in everything from initial concept through to manufacture, playing a key role in bringing next-generation products to market and working closely with key customers. Key Responsibilities: * Lead full product life-cycle design of mechanical parts, components, and systems * Deliver exciting new product development projects from concept to production. * Create both conceptual and detailed designs across a complex and innovative product range. * Collaborate closely with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure design success. * Produce and maintain accurate engineering documentation, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. * Opportunity for global travel to customer sites About You: * Proven experience designing mechanical components and/or systems using 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo, Inventor, or similar. * Demonstrated experience in full life-cycle design, from initial concept through to manufacturing. * A formal qualification in Mechanical Engineering (Degree or equivalent) Working Hours & Flexibility: * Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week * Flexible start and finish times * Hybrid working: up to 2 days per week from home Benefits Package: * 27 days’ holiday bank holidays * Company pension scheme and life insurance
