I’d love to hear from anyone with experience as an Estate Caretaker, Cleaner, Mobile Cleaner, Facilities Assistant, Grounds Maintenance Operative, or someone with a background in social housing, facilities management, or property services who is confident working independently and maintaining high standards.   In this position, you will be: Carrying out scheduled cleaning of communal areas including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, litter picking, and bin management  Removing waste including fly-tipping and biohazards to ensure estates remain safe and hygienic  Undertaking basic grounds maintenance such as weeding and maintaining small shrub beds  Operating and maintaining cleaning machinery safely, reporting any faults promptly  Completing routine health & safety checks including machinery, lighting, ladders, vehicles, and point-of-work risk assessments  Ensuring compliance with COSHH, PPE requirements, and company health & safety procedures  Reporting repairs, anti-social behaviour, safeguarding concerns, and health & safety issues  Communicating professionally and courteously with residents, colleagues, and the general public  I’d love to speak to anyone who has: Previous caretaking, cleaning, or facilities experience (essential)  Experience within social housing or residential blocks (desirable)  Knowledge of basic health & safety procedures The ability to work independently and manage their own workload Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards  A full UK driving licence  This role is offering the following benefits: Permanent contract Full-time hours (Monday – Friday) Salary between £24,000–£25,000 per annum 25 days annual leave + bank holidays Generous employer pension contribution (including life cover) Health & wellbeing support programme Cycle to Work and Electric Vehicle schemes Ongoing training and development opportunities Free parking  Travel & location This role is based in Newton Abbot, with good transport links across South Devon and easy access to surrounding areas including Exeter and Torbay.
