Civil Engineer Cardiff Up to £40,000 + Benefits A well-established and successful Civil & Structural Engineering consultancy in Cardiff is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected design practice delivering residential and commercial infrastructure projects across South Wales. The Role Reporting directly to a Director, you will be responsible for the detailed design of private and adoptable infrastructure schemes. You will play a key role in delivering highway and drainage designs and securing technical approvals from relevant authorities. Key responsibilities: • Detailed design of private and adoptable drainage schemes • Preparation of S278, S38 and S104 agreements • Highway and infrastructure design for residential and commercial developments • Production of engineering drawings and technical documentation • Liaison with clients, local authorities and internal design teams • Supporting projects from concept through to technical approval You will receive ongoing technical support, structured development and external training where required. Requirements • Degree qualified in Civil Engineering (BEng or MEng) • 3–4+ years’ experience in highway and drainage design • Experience producing engineering and technical drawings • Proficient in AutoCAD • Experience with PDS or Civil 3D • Knowledge of MicroDrainage or InfoDrainage • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel What’s on Offer • Salary up to £40,000 (DOE) • Regular pay reviews • Hybrid and flexible working • Pension contribution • Bonus scheme • Payment of professional subscriptions • Clear progression opportunities This role would suit a Civil Engineer looking to take the next step within a supportive consultancy environment with genuine progression potential.
