Buying Assistant- Administrator (BB5) 📍 Office-based | Permanent and Full-time | Accrington 💼 Reporting to: Senior Category Buyer Are you a highly organised administrator with strong commercial awareness? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where accuracy and attention to detail truly matter? I am recruiting on behalf of a well-established buying and marketing group that supports leading wholesalers within the marketplace. This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative Buying Team at the heart of commercial decision-making. The Role As a Buying Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the Buying and Business Support teams with essential administrative and commercial processes. You’ll help ensure that supplier, product, pricing and promotional data is accurately maintained, enabling the successful delivery of group buying and range strategies. This is a varied role offering exposure to supplier management, promotions, contracts, reporting, compliance, and cross-functional collaboration. Key Responsibilities Maintaining accurate pricing, product, supplier and promotional records on internal systems Supporting supplier administration including price changes, forecasts and supply issues Assisting with the monthly promotional process, including market analysis checks Collating documentation for tenders, trading meetings and board meetings Supporting the contract approval process and maintaining accurate records Assisting with weekly newsletters and trading communications Managing reporting schedules including new product performance tracking Liaising with suppliers and member companies to resolve queries and provide support Supporting compliance processes and administrative requirements Organising travel arrangements for the Buying Team and wider Group clients when required Occasional travel and overnight stays will be required for client visits and group events. What We’re Looking For Minimum 2 years’ commercial administrative experience Strong Microsoft Office skills (particularly Excel) Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines Confident communicator, comfortable liaising with suppliers and stakeholders at all levels Organised, proactive and adaptable Full clean driving licence Why Apply?
