Quantity Surveyor 📍 Bedford, Oxfordshire 🏗 Residential Civil Engineering & Groundworks 🕒 Full-Time | Permanent A well-established residential civil engineering and groundworks company based in Banbury is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its growing Commercial Team. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute professional with residential groundworks experience to take ownership of projects and play a key role in ensuring commercial success from inception through to final account. The Role Reporting to a Senior Member of the Commercial Team , you will lead the commercial function of allocated projects and act as the primary point of contact for all commercial matters. Key Responsibilities Lead the commercial management of assigned projects Act as the main point of contact for all commercial queries, concerns, and actions Ensure full compliance with contractual responsibilities Procure key subcontractors and suppliers Prepare, submit, and agree monthly applications for payment Prepare, submit, and agree project variations, claims, and design changes Agree and process subcontractor and supplier payments Prepare project forecasts and cost plans Produce accurate reports analysing profitability and commercial progress Ensure compliance with company and departmental procedures and deadlines Essential Requirements Working toward or completed a degree in Quantity Surveying (or similar discipline) 3-6 years' experience in residential groundworks Quantity Surveying Strong numerical and analytical skills Clear understanding of company procedures and ability to meet deadlines Desirable Skills Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects What's on Offer Competitive salary (dependent on experience) Opportunity to lead projects within a growing residential civil engineering business Supportive commercial team environment Long-term career development opportunitiesIf you are a motivated Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor looking to take the next step in your career within a reputable residential groundworks contractor in Banbury, we would like to hear from you.
