On Behalf of Arup, we are looking for a Senior Human Factors Consultant for a 6 month contract based in London Candidate Profile: Key accountabilities, skills & experience Senior Human Factors Consultant AMS are currently working Arup in their search for a Senior Human Factors Consultant on an initial 6 month contract, depending on work volumes there will be scope to extend. Ideally this role will be based out of Arup's London office, however we can also consider applications from candidates who want to work on remote basis across the UK. We are looking for a Senior Human Factors Consultant who can be client facing and has experience of working in high hazard operational sectors such as rail, aviation and energy. The Senior Human Factors Consultant will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, delivering Human Factors expertise across a diverse portfolio of projects. We are looking for a driven and proactive Senior Consultant with a strong passion for Human Factors and its application within complex engineering and safety-critical environments. In this role, you will lead and contribute to the delivery of projects in sectors such as rail, aviation and energy, applying specialist Human Factors methods to achieve high-quality client outcomes. You will also play a key role in developing our capability, mentoring others and supporting the growth of our Human Factors offering. Produce and oversee Human Factors deliverables to a high technical standard. Lead and manage packages of work, including commercial planning, reporting and day-to-day consultancy activities. Build and maintain strong client relationships, working directly with stakeholders to understand needs and influence decisions. Support business development activities, including attending client meetings, preparing proposals and contributing to strategic growth. Collaborate with other disciplines across Arup, championing the value of Human Factors in multi-disciplinary design and decision-making. Demonstrate strong knowledge and practical capability across a range of Human Factors methods and applications. Work autonomously, while also providing leadership and support within project teams. Exhibit drive and motivation to work in a consulting environment, including delivering to challenging deadlines where required. Apply an organised, methodical and creative approach to problem solving and decision-making. Communicate effectively through strong written, verbal and presentation skills. The Senior Human Factors Consultant will have: A degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline (preferably psychology, human factors or systems engineering but not essential); relevant MSc in occupational psychology or human factors is preferred. Experience of working in high hazard operational sectors such as rail, aviation and energy (a range of sector experience is preferred).
