Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer Location: London (Hybrid Working) Job Type: Contract Duration: 3 Months IR35 Status: Outside IR35 Hours: 37.5 per week Start Date: Immediate Overview An opportunity is available for a Mechanical Design Engineer to support the delivery of Stage 3-4 commercial fit-out projects within a Building Services environment. This is a 3-month contract role, offering hybrid working across London, suited to a technically strong mechanical engineer who can quickly integrate into an existing team and contribute to ongoing project delivery. Key Responsibilities Deliver mechanical design packages for Stage 3-4 commercial fit-out projects Produce detailed HVAC designs, calculations and specifications Develop ductwork and pipework layouts Coordinate with electrical and public health engineers Attend design meetings (virtual and in-person where required) Ensure compliance with UK Building Regulations and industry standards Support project teams in meeting programme deadlines Project Focus Commercial fit-out schemes Stage 3 (Developed Design) and Stage 4 (Technical Design) delivery Fast-paced, live project environments Requirements Proven experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer within Building Services Strong experience delivering commercial fit-out projects Experience working at RIBA Stage 3-4 Ability to work independently within a hybrid working structure Good technical coordination and communication skills Available for immediate or short-notice start This contract role is ideal for a Mechanical Design Engineer seeking an Outside IR35 opportunity within a dynamic commercial project environment across London
