Transport Analyst / Administrator

Transport Analyst – Chesterfield Inspire Resourcing are delighted to be supporting our expanding client in Chesterfield as they look to welcome an additional Transport Analyst to their high‑performing team. The Role: * Supporting the development, negotiation, and management of national transport programmes across multiple modes, including small parcel, LTL, private fleet, dedicated, international, courier, truckload, rail, and expedited services * Delivering excellent customer service to both internal teams and external partners * Analysing transport performance and cost metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement * Producing accurate daily, weekly, and monthly management reports * Conducting targeted analysis to support transportation and wider supply chain initiatives * Contributing to LEAN and continuous improvement projects * Ensuring regulatory compliance across branches and distribution centres * Supporting the management of dangerous goods policies, ensuring safe handling, packaging, and transportation in line with legislation * Assisting with free trade agreement documentation, renewals, and certificates of origin * Supporting the rollout of new customs initiatives and projects The ideal candidate background: * Strong written and verbal communication abilities * Excellent analytical and organisational skills * Confident computer user with strong Microsoft Office skills * Experience with SharePoint and transport/customs‑specific systems is highly beneficial * Self‑motivated, proactive, and able to build strong working relationships * Knowledge of tariff classification is an advantage Hours: Days - Monday to Friday We also recruit for Sales, Accounts, HR, Management, Engineering roles so please get in touch to discuss your CV in more depth
