Production Technician (Full Time)


At Insensys, we develop cutting-edge fibre optic strain sensing technology used in some of the world’s most advanced wind turbines. We are looking for a Production Technician to join our manufacturing team, playing a key role in assembling and testing complex fibre optic sensor arrays. This is precision work that demands excellent manual dexterity, focus, and concentration in a technical production environment. Every component you touch contributes directly to improving performance in the global wind energy sector while supporting clean energy and helping reduce the world’s carbon footprint. What you will be doing * Assembling delicate, high-precision fibre optic sensor arrays * Testing systems at various production stages to ensure performance and accuracy * Following detailed production procedures and maintaining strong quality control * Identifying and suggesting improvements to enhance production efficiency and yield * Ensuring a clean, safe, and well-organised work environment * Collaborating with production leads and engineers to ensure on-time delivery * Preparing and packing systems for global shipment What you will need to succeed * Great manual dexterity and attention to detail—this is precise, hands-on work * Excellent focus and concentration in a technical production environment * A background in manufacturing or engineering * A quality-first mindset and the drive to meet high standards * Clear communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented approach * Comfortable working to KPIs and production metrics Progression & Training We do not expect you to know it all from day one. You will be fully supported through our Company’s internal competency framework designed to help you develop the expertise needed to grow in this role. Salary increases are linked to your progress through the training matrix, where technicians can earn up to £29,500 and beyond.
