Teaching Assistant

Experienced Teaching Assistant, Moss Side £14.00 to £15.00 Per Hour Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:00pm (30 min lunch break) 6 weeks initially, with strong potential for longer. A welcoming and vibrant primary school in Manchester is seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join the team and support pupils across Key Stage 2. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping children thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Responsibilities You will work closely with class teachers to deliver high‑quality learning support, provide targeted interventions, and help create a positive, engaging classroom environment. The role involves supporting whole‑class learning, small‑group work, and one‑to‑one support where needed. • Supporting teaching and learning across Key Stage 2 • Helping pupils stay focused, motivated, and confident • Preparing resources and assisting with classroom organisation • Delivering small‑group interventions in literacy and numeracy • Supporting behaviour management and promoting positive routines • Contributing to a safe, inclusive, and nurturing school culture Desirables • Previous experience working as a TA and relevant TA qualification (Level 2 or 3) • Strong understanding of Key Stage 2 curriculum and expectations • Excellent communication skills and a calm, positive approach • Ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff • Good organisational skills and the ability to multitask • A patient, caring, and resilient attitude Excellent public transport links and free onsite parking.
