Operations Director Hertfordshire + Plus Package/Benefits The Operations Director is responsible for leading all manufacturing operations, ensuring production performance, quality standards, and profitability targets are consistently achieved. This role combines strategic leadership with strong operational oversight to drive efficiency, develop high-performing teams, and support long-term business growth. Key Responsibilities as an Operations Director Lead and manage all manufacturing operations in line with business strategy. Drive operational efficiency, productivity improvements, and cost control initiatives. Ensure production targets, quality standards, and on-time delivery requirements are met. Oversee production planning, capacity management, and effective use of ERP/MRP systems. Maintain and improve Quality Management Systems and regulatory compliance. Lead capital investment planning, equipment strategy, and preventative maintenance programs. Monitor and manage departmental budgets, CapEx, and overall operational performance. Support new product introduction and ensure smooth transition to full production. Build, lead, and develop high-performing operational teams.Qualifications & Experience as an Operations Director 10+ years' experience in manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related discipline. Strong leadership and team development capability. Experience driving continuous improvement and operational efficiency. Sound financial understanding, including budgeting and cost management. Knowledge of quality, safety, and compliance standards. Confident decision-maker with strong communication and problem-solving skills.Interested?
