Accountant

Anderson Knight Recruitment is working with a growing accountancy team to recruit an Accountant to support the delivery of high-quality financial reporting for a diverse client base. About the Role Following continued growth and the onboarding of new clients, our client is looking to strengthen their team. As an Accountant, you will typically manage 3–4 clients directly, so confidence in client-facing situations and strong interpersonal skills are important. Key Responsibilities * Act as the primary contact for a portfolio of clients, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of financial reporting * Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts, including management account packs * Produce standalone and consolidated financial statements under FRS 102 and IFRS (experience desirable but not essential) * Complete bank reconciliations and full trial balance work * Prepare and submit VAT and CIS returns * Perform financial analysis and support investor reporting * Assist with NAV calculations and due diligence for acquisitions or disposals * Identify and suggest improvements to processes, supporting implementation with senior management About You * Part-qualified or studying towards a professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CA) is preferred; experienced, qualified candidates are also welcome * Experience preparing management accounts, VAT/CIS returns, and trial balances * Exposure to financial statement preparation under FRS 102/IFRS is an advantage * Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills * Confident in client-facing situations, professional and articulate * Organised, proactive, and detail-oriented What’s On Offer * Work with a reputable, expanding team with clients across the UK and Europe * Exposure to complex and varied financial structures * Supportive team culture with opportunities for career development * A chance to contribute meaningfully to a growing accounting function If you are an accountant with strong technical skills, client focus, and a proactive approach, we would like to hear from you.
