Mechanical Engineer – Manchester City Centre – Immediate Start A leading FM provider is looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join large contract in the heart of Manchester City Centre. My client based in the facilities maintenance industry is looking for a confident outgoing engineer that can use his/her own initiative to produce results. The position is temporary to permanent opportunity last 3 months on the temporary side. . Salary The rate of pay for this position is up to £29 per hour. Work Hours Monday to Friday earlies 6:30AM to 15:30pm and lates 13:30pm to 22:30pm. There may also be opportunities to join the on-call rota with overtime opportunities available. Responsibilities and duties * PPM and reactive maintenance * Fault finding and competent to rectify * Regular fire alarm testing and drills. Ensuring the fire equipment is in working order and updating the fire alarm log book * Liaise with management regarding health and safety procedures/issues, ongoing repairs and faults, maintenance and building services. * Assisting with basic fabric duties on site Requirements * Minimum C&G level/NVQ 2 in mechanical engineering OR plumbing * Experience in commercial building services * General maintenance experience * Time served in an apprenticeship is an advantage
