The below job description will outline this position of: Marine Pipefitter: Typically, this person will be responsible for the fabrication, installation, and testing of small-bore pipework systems onboard marine vessels and within workshop environments. The role will involve working from technical drawings and schematics to produce high-quality pipe installations across a variety of materials, ensuring compliance with marine standards and client specifications. Duties and responsibilities of the Marine Pipefitter: * Fabrication and installation of small-bore pipework systems in a range of materials including stainless steel, carbon steel, copper-nickel, and other marine-grade alloys * Working from technical drawings, P&IDs, and isometric diagrams to ensure accurate pipe routing and installation * Installation and maintenance of hydraulic pipe systems, including high-pressure lines and associated components * Assembly and installation of press-fit pipe systems such as Geberit Mapress * Measuring, cutting, bending, threading, and fitting pipework to high quality and safety standards * Pressure testing, inspection, and fault finding on installed systems * Ensuring all work complies with marine classification society standards and company quality procedures * Working safely in confined spaces and onboard vessels, adhering to H&S regulations at all times * Liaising with supervisors, engineers, and other trades to ensure efficient project delivery Qualifications and requirements for the Marine Pipefitter: * Proven experience in fabrication and installation of small-bore pipework within marine, shipbuilding, offshore, or heavy engineering environments * Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems and associated components * Experience working with press-fit systems (e.g., Geberit Mapress) * Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and isometric diagrams * High attention to detail with a strong focus on quality workmanship * Relevant engineering apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering / Pipefitting (desirable) * Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment This vacancy is being advertised by HSB Technical who have been appointed to act as the recruitment consultancy for this role
