HGV Fleet Maintenance Manager Bognor Regis, West Sussex Permanent | Full-Time Competitive Salary We are seeking an experienced and proactive HGV Fleet Maintenance Manager to join our client’s team in Bognor Regis. This is a hands-on role combining workshop-based mechanical responsibilities with fleet administration and compliance management. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for the day-to-day maintenance, repair, roadworthiness, and regulatory compliance of the company’s HGV fleet and trailers. This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically skilled professional looking to step into or further develop within a fleet management position. Key Responsibilities Carry out general vehicle and trailer repairs, servicing, and fault diagnosis Implement and manage preventative maintenance inspection (PMI) schedules Conduct vehicle inspections, servicing, and MOT preparation (PMI training provided if required) Manage repair bookings, MOT appointments, and inspection schedules Oversee parts purchasing and coordinate external repair resources within required timeframes Provide on-call support for vehicle breakdowns Monitor fleet performance and identify opportunities for improvement Maintain accurate maintenance records, compliance documentation, and fleet data Ensure full compliance with transport regulations and road safety standards Liaise effectively with internal departments and external service providersRequirements Valid CE (Class 1) Driving Licence and CPC qualification Strong mechanical background with HGV experience Previous experience in fleet maintenance or fleet management Solid understanding of transport regulations and vehicle safety compliance Excellent organisational and time management skills Strong communication skills Ability to analyse maintenance data and optimise fleet performanceBenefits Company pension scheme On-site parking Opportunity to develop within a growing operation
