Job Title: Electrical Shift Leader Location: King’s Cross, London (WC1H) Salary: £52,000 per annum Working Hours: Continental Shift Pattern – 7:00am to 7:00pm / 7:00pm to 7:00am An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Shift Leader to join a high-spec corporate and critical building in King’s Cross. The site is a modern 10-floor commercial property incorporating corporate office space and critical laboratory environments supporting NHS testing operations. This is a technically engaging role within a structured shift team environment. You will work within a 2-person shift team (Shift Leader & Shift Technician), with 4 full shift teams operating onsite. Your duties will include: • Leading the shift team in delivering PPM and reactive maintenance across electrical systems. • Overseeing electrical infrastructure including power distribution, lighting, and critical systems. • Supporting mechanical and HVAC plant where required within a multi-skilled environment. • Managing permits to work, compliance documentation, and safe systems of work. • Responding to faults and ensuring minimal downtime within a critical environment. • Acting as the first point of contact for technical escalation during your shift. Shift Pattern: • Continental shift rotation (Days & Nights) • 7:00am–7:00pm / 7:00pm–7:00am • Pattern includes 4s, 3s, and 6s rotation • 20 shift days annual leave What’s On Offer: • Salary: £52,000 basic. • Structured continental shift pattern. • Season Ticket Loan (after 6 months’ service). Ideal Candidate: • Qualified Electrical Engineer (Level 3 or equivalent). • Experience within corporate or critical building environments. • Previous shift leadership or supervisory experience preferred. • Strong understanding of electrical systems and compliance procedures. • Comfortable working rotating days and nights within a continental pattern. • Proactive, reliable, and confident leading a small shift team.
