Team leader - residential childcare

Are you Level 3 qualified in Residential Childcare and ready for a new challenge? We are recruiting for a Team Leader to join a small children’s residential home in Solihull, supporting up to three children/young people with Learning Disabilities. The Role As Team Leader, you will work closely with the management team to ensure high standards of care and lead shifts effectively. Your responsibilities will include: * Supporting the management team to maintain high-quality care standards * Acting as daily shift lead and overseeing handovers * Planning and organising staff duties during shifts * Supervising and supporting staff, including contributing to appraisals * Providing on-call support on a rota basis * Organising rotas and ensuring appropriate staff deployment * Supporting young people with daily routines, activities and independence * Promoting participation in social, leisure, educational and life skills activities * Supporting personal care needs, including intimate care where required * Administering medication and supporting medical appointments * Promoting wellbeing, safeguarding and positive outcomes This role offers a balance of leadership, hands-on care and meaningful impact.
