Multiskilled Engineer - Electrical Bias


As a multiskilled engineer you will play a key role in delivering maintenance support to the site. You will work closely with Operations to minimise downtime, improve asset reliability, and contribute to ongoing engineering and performance improvement initiatives, while acting as a role model for safety, standards, and professional behaviour. Client Details We are working with a large UK manufacturer of high-quality products, supplying major retailers nationwide. This client operates within a large, ambitious, and fast-paced FMCG environment, focused on safety, quality, reliability, and continuous improvement. Description Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults to minimise production downtime Complete scheduled maintenance tasks safely, to standard, and on time Identify and implement engineering improvements that enhance reliability, performance, and efficiency Support production during shift with a proactive, solutions-focused approach Communicate clearly with Engineering and Operations teams to ensure effective coordination and decision-making Execute planned and preventive maintenance activities in line with the maintenance plan to maximise asset reliability and longevity Support proactive improvement activities, identifying recurring issues and contributing to root cause analysis and reliability improvements Collaborate closely with Operations and Manufacturing teams to prioritise maintenance activities that support production continuity Maintain accurate documentation and reporting, recording all work, parts usage, and actions within the CMMS/MMS Provide effective team support and communication, ensuring clear handovers, issue visibility, and cross-shift alignmentShift Pattern- 4 on 4 off Days & Nights - 6 AM to 6 PM Profile NVQ Level 3 in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or above), with proven multi-skilled capability Strong electrical fault-finding experience in an industrial environment Experience working in a Food & Drink or FMCG manufacturing environment IOSH Working Safely (or equivalent) Experience managing key stakeholders and driving positive engineering change HNC / HND or higher qualification-Desirable PLC fault-finding experience Experience in maintenance planning or continuous improvement initiatives Job Offer Competitive salary up to £48,226.25 total package (inclusive of shift allowance) Refer a friend scheme Health Assured Employee Assistance Programme and Grocery Aid are free and confidential support services 365 days a year Restaurant Group Discount - 50% discount for friends and family.
