Job Title: Buyer (Direct Material) Seniority Level: Intermediate Location: Gothenburg, Sweden (On-site) Remote Work: Not available Assignment Period: 01 Mar 2026 - 31 Dec 2027 Contract Type: Fixed-term assignment Key Responsibilities: - Drive and develop purchasing activities within base engine areas - Identify and implement cost reductions - Serve as the first point of contact for suppliers - Conduct market benchmarks and supplier evaluations - Lead strategic sourcing and negotiations - Cooperate with internal customers - Handle ordering processes and agreement management - Develop and optimize the supplier base - Collaborate with a procurement team across Europe and China, and stakeholders in R&D, Business Strategy, Manufacturing, and Logistics - Take on responsibilities outside your main role to support personal growth and team development Requirements: - Commercial and results-driven mindset - Strong motivation and creativity, with the ability to identify new solutions and challenge the status quo - Team player with honesty, integrity, and a proactive approach to self-development - Capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously, goal-oriented, and focused on achieving results - Degree in Business or Technical discipline (or equivalent) - 2-5 years of experience in Commercial and/or Engineering roles, including negotiations and legal knowledge - Strong business acumen and ability to prioritize work and deliver on time - Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken - Proficiency in both English and Swedish is required Required Skills: - Procurement Languages: - English (Proficient) - Swedish (Proficient) Join an international team and play a key role in delivering world-class powertrain solutions.
