HGV Technician

HGV Technician Location: Halifax £22.00 per hour Temporary Contract | Immediate Start | Until End of May We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician to support a busy fleet workshop in Halifax on a temporary basis. This is an immediate requirement running ASAP through to the end of May, offering strong hourly pay and full-time hours within a professional fleet maintenance environment. The Role You will be responsible for: * Service, maintenance and repair of HGVs and associated fleet equipment * Diagnosing and rectifying mechanical and electrical faults * Preparing vehicles for MOT * Conducting inspections to DVSA standards and above * Completing maintenance documentation accurately * Adhering strictly to Health & Safety procedures You will be working on a varied commercial fleet with modern vehicle technology and specialist ancillary equipment. Requirements * Proven experience repairing and maintaining HGV or commercial vehicles * Ability to inspect vehicles to DVSA standards * Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability * Good knowledge of workshop health and safety * DBS check required prior to start (processed in-house) Desirable * HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence * IRTEC accreditation * Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics Contract Details * £22.00 per hour * Full-time hours * Immediate start * Temporary contract until end of May To apply, please submit your CV along with any relevant training certifications or accreditations
